GRAVITY POWERED JALOPY RACE
Location: Intersection of Wellington Rd & South Rd, Templeton
Finish in front of the Police station
Date: Saturday May 12, 2012 at 1:00pm
Application: Jalopy Race Application
Rules:
• Drivers must wear helmets
• Jalopies must have at least 3 wheels (round wheels optional)
All jalopies must have a name (remember this is a family event)
• Maximum of 2 drivers (pilot & co-pilot)
Suggested & advised guidelines:
• Steering
• Brakes
• Elbow & knee pads
Suggested types of jalopies:
• Bed
• Barrel
• Outhouse
• Car/truck seat
• Boat/canoe
• Modified carriage
• Cardboard box
• Anything with wheels
Categories:
• Male & Female student (grades 7 - 12)
• Male & Female adults
Double elimination, top 2 in each category move to semi-finals, semi-
finals (single elimination) will match Female students vs. Female adults
and Male students vs. Male adults, and finals (overall champion) will
match Female vs. Male drivers.
The same Jalopies may be used in different categories
